Socotra gets 7,500 tons of diesel from Saudi

Yemeni Socotra Governorate received 7,500 tons of diesel through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, to operate power plants during the wind season that lasts approximately four months. This initiative aims to enhance the stability of basic services and improve citizens' living standards. This support is part of the program's efforts to supply more than 70 power stations across Yemen and support vital sectors. It is worth mentioning that the program provided oil grants worth $180 million in 2018, $422 million in 2021, and $200 million in 2022, in addition to the current grant for 2026.
