Beirut transfers second group of Syrian prisoners

The Lebanese authorities handed over 128 Syrian prisoners to Damascus on Wednesday, in the second such batch since the signing of an agreement in February to extradite convicted individuals and close the Syrian detainee files in Lebanon. This operation follows more than three months after the transfer of an initial batch of 132 prisoners, bringing the total number handed over so far to 260 out of approximately 356 prisoners held in Roumieh Prison. These matters include issues related to detainees, borders, smuggling, the missing, and those forcibly disappeared.
