Israeli forces set new position, continue Lebanon strikes

The Israeli army has begun establishing a new military site on the western edge of the town of Al-Khiyam in southern Lebanon, amid excavation and fortification works protected by tanks and armored vehicles. This is happening alongside artillery shelling targeting border areas in the region. Israeli aircraft also carried out strikes on positions between the towns of Qantara and Dair Suryan, and announced additional targets in areas such as Hadatha and Majdel Zoun. Several homes were damaged as a result of the explosions, despite the signing of a framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, under American sponsorship, to de-escalate tensions along the border.
