UAE's biggest aluminum recycling plant begins operations

Emirates Global Aluminium announced the inauguration of the largest aluminum recycling plant in the country, located in Al Tallayea area, with an annual production capacity of 185,000 tons. The plant aims to boost local production of low-emission aluminum by processing aluminum scrap domestically instead of exporting it, thereby helping to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by up to 95%. This project represents an important step toward expanding the circular economy strategy and strengthening the UAE’s position as a global hub for sustainable industry.
