The Chinese-African Economic and Trade Fair was launched in Casablanca, Morocco. This is the first event of its kind to be organized outside China by Hunan Province since the implementation of the zero-tariff policy with 53 African countries. The fair aims to strengthen trade cooperation between China, Morocco, and Africa by creating new bridges and facilitating the entry of Moroccan products into the Chinese market, with a focus on expanding the presence of Chinese companies in North Africa. Trade between China and Morocco increased to $10.96 billion in 2025, including Chinese exports worth $9.88 billion and imports of $1.08 billion. The event is considered a strategic step to enhance economic and investment partnership between the two sides.
