Moroccan climber Nawal Safniza was honored by King Mohammed VI, who awarded her the National Reward Medal of the rank of Officer, in recognition of her achievement in climbing two of the world's highest peaks, Everest and Lhotse, during the same expedition. Nawal is the first Moroccan to summit all nine peaks over 4,000 meters within five days, and previously she was the first Moroccan woman to reach the summit of Manaslu in the Himalayas. Her achievement reflects determination and ambition and marks a significant milestone in her athletic career, particularly in the sport of mountaineering.
