Lebanon reports Israel's toxic pesticide use

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs filed a complaint with the United Nations Security Council against Israel, due to its spraying of the herbicide "Glyphosate" inside Lebanese territory last February, prior to the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hezbollah. Laboratory tests confirmed elevated levels of the substance in the soil of border areas, and considered this act a blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty, as well as an environmental and health crime. The ministry also condemned Israel's ongoing attacks on Lebanon, including targeting Lebanese army vehicles, in an effort to bolster direct diplomatic efforts between the two countries.
