China accelerates data growth plan

China has experienced a significant rise in the value of data resources, more than two years after launching a three-year action plan to strengthen the development and application of data as a key factor in production. These efforts resulted in the release of 417 exemplary cases and the identification of 760 applicable scenarios across 11 sectors, with the volume of active data expected to reach 1.67 zettabytes by 2025, representing a 28.46% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, data products and services grew by 29.29%, and transaction values increased by 39.8%, as part of China's efforts to boost the digital economy and achieve high-quality development.
