Syria detains three ex-officials

Units of the Syrian Ministry of Interior in Aleppo have arrested former Brigadier General in the Republican Guard, Youssef Habib, who is involved in violations and crimes against civilians. They also confiscated a number of cars stolen during the fall of the Assad regime after verifying their identities. Additionally, Osama Mahmoud Hammouda, a former First Assistant in the regime's intelligence agencies, was detained on charges of arbitrary arrests and extortion. Youssef Ahmed Khaled was also apprehended; he is wanted on charges of war crimes and for carrying out military operations against areas in rebellion.
