Doctors in Sri Lanka removed a 3.1kg bladder stone from a 55-year-old man at Trincomalee General Hospital, believed to be the largest ever recorded. The stone, about 17cm in size and weighing as much as a newborn, was in the patient's bladder for roughly five to ten years and was surgically extracted last week.
