Starting Monday, passengers traveling by ferry between the UK and Ireland must present a passport at check-in, replacing previous accepted forms of ID such as driving licenses and national identity cards. The requirement applies to routes between Dublin and Holyhead and Rosslare and Pembroke, in both directions, to comply with UK Border Force rules. Non-UK or Irish citizens visiting for up to six months may also need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).
