Stray Kids join BTS in Grammy boycott

Stray Kids and BTS, two major K-pop groups, are boycotting the 2027 Grammy Awards in response to the introduction of a new Asian pop music category, which critics fear could segregate genres like K-Pop and J-Pop from mainstream recognition. BTS announced their decision earlier, and Stray Kids followed suit, choosing not to submit their music for consideration. The Recording Academy's decision to establish the category has received mixed reactions, with some viewing it as a recognition of Asian music's global impact, while others see it as potentially exclusionary.
