Romo and CBS end partnership
Tony Romo and CBS Sports have mutually agreed to part ways two months after his July arrest on suspicion of operating while intoxicated. Romo, a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, was placed on indefinite leave following the arrest, and CBS announced he would not return as a commentator. J.J. Watt will continue as CBS’s lead NFL color commentator for the rest of the season. Romo has acknowledged his alcohol dependence and taken responsibility for his actions.
