Odgren Plans Parole After Classroom Killing

John Odgren, who was 16 when he murdered a classmate at Lincoln-Sudbury High School in 2007, is seeking parole after serving time for first-degree murder. His parole hearing is scheduled for November, and he is currently incarcerated at North Central Correctional Institution. Odgren was convicted of stabbing 15-year-old James Alenson with a kitchen knife and argued that psychiatric issues affected his actions, but the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court upheld his conviction in 2019.
