Woman's Uber ride diverted after missed exit

A woman reported feeling unsafe during an Uber ride late at night after the driver requested to stop at a parking garage to charge an electric vehicle and missed an exit, raising concerns about her location. She ultimately ended the trip and contacted police, prompting Uber to investigate and confirm that safety measures, including an emergency button and trip sharing, are in place. Experts recommend passengers verify driver and vehicle details before starting a ride and share their trip information with trusted contacts to enhance safety during rides.
