LA Italian festival canceled after founder's death
The LA Italian Festival was canceled suddenly after its founder, Joey Sorice, passed away from a heart attack. The event, scheduled for October 4 at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, was called off less than a day before the date, leaving vendors and attendees disappointed. Sorice, a comedian and festival founder, was recognized for his contributions to the LA comedy scene and was mourned by the local entertainment community.
