Family behind Bold and Beautiful explores microdramas

Bradley Bell and his son Oliver have launched Red Flair Entertainment to produce microdramas, with their first series, “Hollywood Starlet,” debuting on the new app aTwist. Filmed at Sunset Las Palmas Studios during “The Bold and the Beautiful”'s dark week, the series costs about $175,000 to $220,000 per season and targets a younger audience with short, cliffhanger-driven stories designed for phone screens. Bell's team sees microdramas as a modern evolution of soap operas, aiming to reach viewers who might find traditional long-form TV less accessible.
