Michael Douglas nearly left wife over 'Basic Instinct' affair

Michael Douglas revealed in his memoir that he had on-set affairs with Jeanne Tripplehorn during filming of "Basic Instinct" and with Kathleen Turner during production of "Romancing the Stone." He admitted these relationships occurred while he was still married to his first wife, Diandra Luker, with whom he separated at the time. Douglas confirmed the affairs many years after denying them, stating they lasted through production but ended afterward.
