L.A. dance party faces closure

Trans*cient is an underground LA rave created in 2023 to provide a safe, community-focused space for trans women and their allies. The event features queer DJs, harm reduction services, and inclusive amenities, addressing the lack of dedicated venues for trans people, but faces ongoing financial challenges due to rising costs and limited space availability. Despite obstacles, the rave emphasizes self-expression, safety, and community in a largely exclusionary nightlife environment.
