Fort Hood survivor vows to see terrorist executed

Retired Staff Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford, a survivor of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that left 13 dead, plans to witness the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, who was convicted of the attack. President Trump approved the use of a firing squad for Hasan’s execution, which is scheduled for December 2026 at Fort Hood, Texas. Lunsford views the execution as a step toward closure for victims and a message that such violence will not be tolerated.
