Dodgers discuss benching Ohtani in NLCS
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is considering benching Shohei Ohtani due to a significant postseason slump, with Ohtani batting only 3-for-20 and having no extra-base hits in seven playoff games. Ohtani, who recently fell to fifth in the lineup and struggled at the plate, has also been dealing with injuries and a prolonged hitting drought since August. If benched, rookie Josue De Paula may replace him as the designated hitter, praised for his plate discipline.
