Cornell president admits no follow-up on gang rape claim
Cornell University is facing scrutiny over its handling of a sexual assault case involving a student who reported being gang-raped at a fraternity house. Despite knowing about the incident in 2024, university officials failed to follow up or take disciplinary action, prompting concerns about institutional response and accountability. The case has led to a faculty-led no-confidence resolution, protests, and calls for independent investigations into the university’s handling of sexual misconduct allegations.
