Press groups criticize Dem governor over media retaliation

A coalition of press freedom organizations has accused Maryland Governor Wes Moore of retaliating against journalists from Sinclair-affiliated outlets and The Baltimore Sun by subjecting their inquiries to additional legal review, following a defamation lawsuit against him. The groups criticized Moore for alleged unfair treatment of reporters, drawing parallels to the Trump administration's media bans. Moore's office denied the accusations, stating that they continue to respond to questions and that legal review is standard due to the lawsuit filed by David Smith of Sinclair Broadcast Group.
