Coach filming girls in bathroom gets 90 years

Sean Gardner, a former youth gymnastics coach, was sentenced to 90 years in federal prison for secretly filming girls undressing and using a bathroom at a Mississippi gym. The conviction stems from the seizure of videos and photos taken between 2017 and 2018, as well as prior FBI investigations into allegations of sexual abuse at an Iowa gym. Gardner pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, and the sentence reflects the severity of his crimes. Lawsuits against Gardner, USA Gymnastics, and Chow’s Gymnastics are ongoing, alleging misconduct and failure to prevent abuse.
