Detective suspected in girl’s murder may have additional victims

DNA and fingerprint evidence have identified Chicago Police Department officer Thomas F. McInerney Jr. as the killer of 8-year-old Gloria Kowalewicz, who was abducted and murdered in 1960. McInerney died in 2006, and authorities believe he may have committed other victims, given his history.
