Tesla Roadster speeds and flips
Tesla unveiled a redesigned Roadster capable of flying and performing airborne maneuvers using SpaceX-developed technology. Demonstrations included the vehicle climbing upside down, launching into the air with gas thrusters, and flying over other Tesla models, all under controlled conditions. The vehicle features advanced suction and thruster systems, with Tesla claiming acceleration from zero to 60 mph in under 0.81 seconds, though not independently verified. Production is expected to begin in 2028, with high reservation deposits and uncertain final pricing, raising questions about the vehicle's practical use outside prototype demonstrations.
