Ben Simmons' NBA Return Ends with Achilles Injury
Ben Simmons’ comeback with the Sacramento Kings ended when he tore his Achilles tendon during practice, requiring surgery and a recovery period of six to 12 months. The injury jeopardizes his plans to play for Australia in the 2027 FIBA World Cup and 2028 Olympics. Simmons, a former NBA All-Star and top draft pick, had been making a low-key return to form after previous injuries and had been preparing to start the upcoming season.
