US Democrat candidate detained in West Bank
US Democratic congressional candidate Brad Lander was detained by Israeli forces while participating in olive harvesting near Bethlehem in the West Bank. He was among about 80 volunteers, including activists and rabbis, detained for approximately two hours in a restricted military zone before being released. The group was there in solidarity with Palestinian farmers amid increasing violence and settler attacks in the area.
