Egyptian Women's Health Initiative Reaches 71 Million Visits
The Ministry of Health and Population announced the successful implementation of the Egyptian Women's Health Support Initiative, launched in July 2019 under the directives of the President. The initiative has received over 71 million visits for screening and awareness services. It focused on early detection of breast tumors and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Through this program, more than 936,000 women received advanced screening services, including 525,126 mammogram scans and the collection of over 60,000 samples for breast tumor analysis. Additionally, 39,000 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed, with free treatment provided at 14 Ministry of Health centers, alongside the participation of university clinics, all aimed at improving care and prevention, as well as strengthening research in women's health.
