Arthritis drug promotes hair growth in alopecia patients

A recent study has shown that the drug Odamdesitinib, used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, is also effective in promoting hair growth in patients with alopecia areata. Two clinical trials involving 1,399 patients were conducted, and the results indicated that about half of the participants who took a 15 mg dose achieved 80% or more scalp coverage within 24 weeks, while those who took 30 mg had a rate of over 54%.
