European Films Compete at El Gouna

The Arab Critics Awards for European Films in their eighth edition announced the nomination of 25 films from various European countries, reflecting the diversity of contemporary European cinema between fictional and documentary works. The participating films have garnered awards at major festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, and Berlin, and are competing for prizes at the Gouna Film Festival, scheduled to take place in October 2026. The awards provide an important platform to promote European cinema beyond its borders, featuring a wide range of directors and emerging voices, with the goal of building a bridge between European cinema and the Arab world.
