Khozama as a desert floral design
The Asian Football Confederation, in partnership with Kelemi Company, has unveiled the official ball for the 2027 Asian Cup matches in Saudi Arabia, named "Khozama." The ball is inspired by the wild lavender plant that grows across the Kingdom and features a purple color that symbolizes Saudi hospitality. Its design integrates shades of purple, green, and sand to ensure visibility during matches both in daylight and under floodlights. The aim of the design is to highlight the tournament's identity and create a visual connection with Saudi traditions, as the purple color has been used since 2021 in welcoming ceremonies and as part of the Riyadh Airlines branding, becoming a visual symbol of hospitality and local natural beauty. The reveal of the ball comes as the tournament is set to begin, hosted by the Kingdom from January 7 to February 5, 2027. Its colors and lines reflect Saudi warmth and generosity, placing the nation at the heart of this continental event.
