Manal Salama on Amira Adeeb's video: friendship celebration
The article includes a statement from actress Manal Selama regarding a video circulating of her daughter, Amira Adel, in Berlin. Some people interpreted the video as participation in a wedding for same-sex couples. However, Adel denied this, affirming that the video was from a friendly celebration celebrating a long-standing friendship between three men from her circle who have been involved in relationships with women. She explained that the event was held on the occasion of her parents' birthdays and her friends' wedding, and it had no connection to any same-sex weddings. Adel emphasized that the photo was taken during a gathering of friends over 15 years and does not reflect any stance on same-sex marriage. She pointed out that some parties are exploiting the images to chase trending topics and spread false information about her family.
