Belqees Fathi Discusses Her Father

Singer Belqees Fathi discussed her relationship with her father, musician Ahmed Fathi. She revealed that their roles have reversed over time: her mother used to pamper her during childhood, but now she rarely shows her affection, and their relationship remains spontaneous and humorous. She explained that her father has a strong intuition capable of quickly recognizing people's traits, and she benefits from his experience, aspiring to learn some of his skills. She also highlighted the artistic challenges between them, noting that he follows a traditional approach, while she leans toward modern music—especially in her latest project, which features a blend of Yemeni style and local rhythms. She affirmed that she expressed her love for her father through her song "Ya Harash," celebrating his career, and pointed out that their relationship is filled with mutual affection and respect.
