Court rules in Boussy dispute

The Court of Appeals for Criminal Misdemeanors in Haram, Giza, has ruled that both the civil and criminal cases against singer Boussy have been dismissed following a reconciliation with the Public Prosecution in a case involving bounced checks worth 6 million Egyptian pounds. Security forces had previously detained her and prevented her from traveling through Cairo Airport due to multiple judicial rulings against her related to issuing bounced checks. Her troubles date back to her being accused of issuing a check without funds before she filed an appeal against a gossipy (absentia) verdict issued against her. Since 2016, Boussy has faced numerous legal crises, with court sentences ranging from two to six years in prison. However, she managed to reach a reconciliation and resolve the outstanding legal disputes in her most recent case.
