Al-Ghaiti Warns on Egyptian Drama Market

The article highlights the downturn currently affecting the Egyptian drama industry. Media personality Mohamed El-Ghayti expresses his concern over the decline in production opportunities and their concentration in the hands of a limited few, which threatens the industry's future and its leading position in the region. El-Ghayti explains that the production of TV series has decreased from around 70 series annually in 2010 and 2011 to severe crises today, with fewer job opportunities for hundreds of artists and technicians who are struggling with difficult living conditions. He emphasizes the need to reconsider monopoly policies and to open the field to more companies and artists to participate. He also affirms that the entertainment industry is a vital economic issue that requires a comprehensive vision to preserve its cultural and economic stature in Egypt.
