Yasri Nasrallah Praises Mona Zaki

Director Yousry Nasrallah spoke at the Gouna Film Festival about the behind-the-scenes aspects of his artistic career, with a focus on his experiences with Egyptian cinema stars such as Mona Zaki, Yousra, and Hend Sabry. He mentioned that Mona Zaki was the top candidate for a role in the film "Garden of Fish," but he declined her for the part because she did not align with his vision of the character. In contrast, Hend Sabry portrayed her role in a different style, reflecting his belief that acting adds depth to a character through the presence of the performer. Nasrallah emphasized that clothing choices and filming details help convey his vision of the character, clarifying that his work is based on a personal vision and inspirational scenes, not just the written script. He highlighted the importance of collaborating with actors to achieve authentic and inspiring performances. Additionally, he revealed a new project titled "Where Are You From?" which he plans to shoot using mobile phones, intending to invest in unconventional techniques in filmmaking.
