Russia LPG exports increase 9.9%

Russia's exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) increased by 9.9% in the first half of 2026, reaching 16.6 million tons, supported by higher supplies from the Arctic LNG 2 project. However, exports in June declined by 1.5% compared to the same month last year and by 37% compared to May, due to maintenance activities at Sakhalin-2. Exports to Europe also saw a 14% increase during the first half of the year, although they fell in June to 1.14 million tons, amid the ongoing European Union ban on Russian gas imports that is set to continue until the end of 2027.
