Food Security Authority imports 661k tons of wheat

The General Authority for Food Security has completed the awarding of the fourth batch of import contracts for 661,000 tons of wheat for the year 2026 from various origins, aiming to strengthen strategic reserves and meet the needs of milling companies. Contracts were signed with six companies out of fourteen international firms that offered the lowest prices. The shipments are scheduled to be received during September and October 2026 via 11 ships distributed across the ports of Jeddah, Yanbu, and Jazan.
