Saudi Ports invests 640 million riyals to develop Jeddah Port

The Saudi Ports Authority "Mawani" has invested an additional 641 million Riyals to enhance the capabilities of Jeddah Islamic Port. This includes the addition of 3 quay cranes, 17 rubber-tired gantry cranes, 91 terminal trucks, 7 ground handling equipment units, as well as expanding the container terminal by 200,000 square meters. These investments aim to improve container handling efficiency and increase the port's operational capacity, which is among the most prominent logistics hubs on the Red Sea. This is part of Saudi Arabia’s plan to expand its service network and strengthen its position as a global logistics center. This initiative follows the government's announcement to expand the port's service network and connect it with regional and international ports, in line with the country’s efforts to support non-oil exports and transform the ports into key trade hubs in the region.
