Real estate registration begins in 7 Makkah areas

The General Authority for Real Estate announced the start of the spatial registration of properties in 7 neighborhoods within the Makkah region and Jeddah Governorate. This includes 509 real estate parcels, with the aim of enhancing transparency and increasing the reliability of property ownership. Registration begins today and continues until October 29th through the Electronic Real Estate Register platform or service centers, and requires possession of a valid ownership deed that meets the requirements. Each property unit will be issued a land ownership record containing information about the property and its rights, in order to support infrastructure development and promote sustainability in the real estate sector. A warning has been issued that financial penalties will be imposed for failure to register within the specified period.
