Dubai Roads Extends Bike Delivery to 7 New Areas

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has added seven new areas for electric bicycle delivery services, following the successful pilot phase initiated in four areas since February. The new zones include Al Tahir 1 and 2, Al Qusais 1, Sheikh Mohammed bin RASHID Boulevard, Dubai Media City, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, and Dubai Marina, with the aim of improving services, reducing costs, and enhancing sustainability within the framework of the Transportation Strategy 2030. The expansion focuses on providing appropriate infrastructure, regulating operations, and increasing user satisfaction, which has reached 99% among customers and over 90% among drivers. This step is part of efforts to organize the sector, achieve the highest safety and quality standards, and support the ongoing growth in demand for delivery services via flexible transportation.
