The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the apprehension of 14,154 individuals violating residency, work, and border security regulations across all parts of the kingdom during the period from 9 to 15 / 2 / 1448 AH (July 23 to 29, 2026). Among those apprehended, 7,103 were found to be in violation of the residency system, 3,654 violated border security laws, and 3,397 violated labor regulations. Additionally, 1,418 individuals attempting to cross the borders illegally were detained, with 54% being Yemenis and 45% Ethiopians. A total of 12,613 violators were deported, and 17 suspects involved in transporting, harboring, or employing the violators were referred to the authorities. The ministry emphasized that any assistance or facilitation in the entry, transfer, or harboring of violators could result in penalties of up to 15 years in prison, fines reaching one million Riyals, and the seizure of vehicles and accommodations. The public is urged to report violations through the number (911) and the relevant police stations.
