Dana Gas and Hilal Oil supply gas to Iraq

A significant step has been taken in Iraq's gas sector with the commencement of deliveries by Dana Gas and Nawoil Al Hilal companies of 100 million cubic feet of gas per day from Khor Mor Field in the Kurdistan Region to the Taza Power Station in Kirkuk. This aims to help increase electricity production and improve services across Iraq. The agreement, which is valid for one year, coincides with the expansion of the Khor Mor project, adding 50% to its production capacity to reach 750 million cubic feet per day. The initiative aims to meet the rising demand for electricity and represents a major achievement in both companies' strategies to boost gas sales, reduce reliance on energy imports, and support economic growth. This project will supply the fuel necessary to produce over 80% of the electricity in the Kurdistan Region, open new markets with investments exceeding $4 billion, and create more than 47,000 direct and indirect jobs.
