Takafol Island reports Q2 2026 losses

Al-Jazeera Takaful Cooperative Insurance Company has reported that it shifted to losses in the second quarter of 2026 on a yearly basis, with its net loss after Zakat amounting to 7.36 million SAR, compared to a profit of 4.08 million SAR in the same period of the previous year. This is primarily due to a decline in insurance results, which recorded a loss of 9.945 million SAR, compared to a profit of 5.355 million SAR in the same quarter last year, representing a decrease of 285.71%. The company also posted losses in the first quarter of 2026, and its profits for the first half of the year declined by 99.5% to reach 100,000 SAR, down from 20.19 million SAR in the same period last year.
