Sharjah Charity conducts 4300+ eye surgeries abroad
Throughout the first half of this year, the Sharjah Charity Association has conducted 27 medical campaigns aimed at treating eye diseases in several countries. These campaigns successfully carried out 4,309 surgical procedures at a total cost of 2.2 million dirhams. The procedures included the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma, corneal surgeries, and pterygium removal, all with the goal of improving patients' vision, especially those most in need. These campaigns help beneficiaries restore their sight and regain independence. They are part of the association’s ongoing efforts to provide healthcare in underserved communities, with the support of volunteer medical teams from the UAE and the Gulf region.
