Mirk and Moderna reach new skin cancer milestone

American pharmaceutical companies Merck and Moderna announced positive results from the final phase of trials for an experimental melanoma skin cancer vaccine using mRNA technology. The treatment, called "Incytemeran Autogen," showed a statistically significant improvement in disease-free survival rates when combined with the immunotherapy drug "Keytruda," compared to treatment with Keytruda alone, for patients with advanced stages of cancer after surgery.
