Ma'an offers 27 waste management investments

The National Waste Management Center "Mawan" has launched 27 investment opportunities to develop and operate 33 waste treatment and management facilities across various regions of the Kingdom, with investments exceeding two billion riyals. This initiative aims to enhance private sector participation in developing infrastructure for waste management and to achieve the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. It includes establishing and operating facilities for treating construction and demolition debris, medical waste, slaughterhouse waste, and municipal solid waste, with the goal of improving operational efficiency and reducing waste disposed of in landfills from 5% to 18%. The opportunities are distributed across areas such as Madinah, Makkah, Dammam, Tabuk, and Qassim, handling more than 7 million tons of waste, contributing to environmental protection and reducing carbon emissions.
