The Korean company Rebiolons intends to establish an artificial intelligence data center in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with Humaine, which is owned by the Public Investment Fund and STC. The goal is to enhance sovereignty over AI technologies, which Saudi Arabia considers a top security and strategic priority—similar to future nuclear capabilities. Two years ago, Aramco's venture capital arm, Waad Ventures, invested $20 million in the company, paving the way for the deployment of its projects in the kingdom and yielding positive results. The company expects to benefit from the Saudi market opportunities, especially in the telecommunications sector, where it is currently developing capabilities in partnership with major Korean firms. Its focus is on sovereign AI technologies, heterogeneous computing systems, and reducing energy consumption and costs through AI chips designed solely for inference operations.
