Dammam Airport Design Deal for 19.3M Passengers

The CEO of Dammam Airports, Eng. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Hassani, and the President of WSP for the Middle East and Asia, Dine McGrill, signed a design contract for the development of King Fahd International Airport in accordance with the approved master plan. The project aims to expand passenger terminals, improve entrances and access routes, and upgrade baggage handling systems and digital services to enhance passenger comfort. The plan targets servicing more than 19.3 million travelers annually by 2030, with capacity to increase to 32 million passengers, boost air cargo capacity to over 600,000 tons per year, and improve aircraft operational capacity to 77 aircraft per hour, utilizing smart technologies and sustainable practices.
